Thank you -
Donald Trump and Susan Collins have billionaires. We have grassroots supporters.
I wanted to reach out with a quick update before we head into February.
We’re building something real across Maine, and it’s all thanks to folks like you.
Volunteers are stepping up in towns across the state – organizing, making calls, and talking to their neighbors about why this race matters. Donors are chipping in, with an average contribution of around $20. Not billionaire checks. Not corporate PAC money. Just Maine people investing what they can in the future they want to see.
I’ve been having conversations on the ground – in diners, at town halls, on doorsteps – and the message is coming through loud and clear: Maine is ready for change.
But here’s what I’m thinking about as we move deeper into this election year: momentum only carries you so far if you can’t sustain it. And sustaining it takes resources, commitment, and people willing to stay in the fight even when it gets tough.
Donald Trump and Susan Collins have billionaires. We have grassroots supporters.
Donald Trump and Susan Collins are going to sink millions into this race to defeat us. They have billionaire backers writing massive checks. They have dark money groups ready to run attack ads. They’re prepared to spend whatever it takes to hold this seat and protect their Senate majority.
We have something different. We have grassroots supporters. We have people like you who believe Maine deserves better.
The work we’re doing right now – building our volunteer network, having conversations with voters, establishing our presence in communities across the state – is the foundation of everything that comes next.
It could mean the difference between a Democratic Senate that can actually get things done and another six years of Susan Collins doing Trump’s bidding while Maine families pay the price.
The stakes couldn’t be higher, so to have a grassroots team that has proved they will step up, time and again, is incredible.
Thank you for your support so far, and I hope you’ll stand with us until Election Day in November.
Because this campaign belongs to all of us. Every conversation we have matters. Every person who steps up to volunteer matters. Every bit of support – whether it’s time, energy, or resources – helps us build the movement we need to win.
Gratefully,
Janet
